Oil seals, grease seals and dust seals help prevent lubricant leakage by retaining the fluid within the cylinder and at the same time, protecting it from intrusion of harmful external elements.
Oil seals are divided into three main categories according to their design: rubber outside diameter, metal outside diameter and metal outside diameter with a metallic cage inside.
